History

Timothy Phillips has a Masters of Architecture from Yale University and a BFA, Summa Cum Laude, at State University of New York at Buffalo. His started his career in real estate as an architect at the prestigious SLAM Collaborative before moving on in 2003 to launch a general contracting firm in New York City. Within two years, the firm had rapidly grown and added a property management team overseeing over 200,000sf of residential property in Brooklyn. His first development company, EcoRise Development, established in 2007, was launched with the mission to build creative, sustainable, mixed use developments in the rapidly upcoming area of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

In his ten years of intensive, on the ground experience Timothy has successfully completed dozens of ground up and renovation projects in Brooklyn and Manhattan. His broad background in the industry has exposed him to all aspects of the industry and he has directly supervised every stage of numerous projects from conception and site location all the way through construction management to completion and property management.

As a consultant he has contributed to several projects collectively totaling over 1,000,000sf of residential, commercial and mixed use properties and he has overseen hundreds of millions of dollars in acquisitions and construction. His design background and close ties to the artistic communities and helped successfully position numerous projects for market in Williamsburg allowing them to sell at full asking price even at the height of the 2008 financial crisis. Timothy now lecturers regularly at Yale University on Real Estate Development.
